A few of our favorite pictures from the 2019 Girls Golf season!
LPGA-USGA Girls Golf is a national program that uses golf instruction to empower young women with confidence and teach them valuable life skills. YWCA Bethlehem has been the local Girls Golf affiliate since 2003. We welcome girls ages 6 to 17 to join us for our 18th season in 2020. Clinics cover the fundamentals of putting, chipping, full swing, etiquette, rules, and more. In addition to learning golf skills, Girl Golfers build confidence and friendships in our supportive and fun all-girls environment.
May 21, 2020 Update
Please note that this year Girls Golf will operate at Southmoore Golf Course only. We have added a second session at Southmoore on Saturday mornings to meet anticipated demand. A minimum enrollment of six participants will be required for the second session to operate.
We are working with the hope that group instruction and youth activities will be allowed by June 18, our tentative start date. (Youth activities and group instruction are currently NOT allowed at golf courses until a county reaches the “Green Phase” of re-opening.)
In the event that we need to delay the start of the clinics, Jim Muschlitz, our PGA Pro at Southmoore will extend weekly clinics to provide the full eight-lesson program. We encourage families to register their daughters now as space is limited. Online registration will close on June 7. If the YWCA cannot provide the program due to continuing restrictions, refunds will be provided.

Girls Golf goes beyond clinic instruction to provide participants with opportunities to meet women golfers, play local courses, and get to know their peers on and off the green.
Please note that due to restrictions on youth and group golf activities, our special events have not been formally scheduled with local facilities. YWCA will work to provide a minimum of three special events during the the Girls Golf season to complement the Girls Golf experience, comparable to the events described below.
Mini-Putt Party: Girl Golfers enjoy a round of mini-golf with refreshments to follow.
July On-Course Play: YWCA mentors will play several holes with Girl Golfers.
Six-Hole Classic: Girls and YWCA mentors will play six holes and compete in a putting contest.
August On-Course Play: Foursomes of Girl Golfers will play a 9-hole scramble.
End-of-Season Glow Golf Party: Girls from both sites enjoy a pizza party and glow golf at Southmoore to conclude the season. (Friday, August 21)
