YWCA Bethlehem proudly partners with YWCA USA to advocate for the end of gender-based violence in the United States. During the Week Without Violence 2018 campaign October 15 – 19, YWCA Bethlehem will host The Escalation Workshop developed by the One Love Foundation to help friends, family and bystanders recognize the warning signs of dating violence.

The workshop will include viewing a 40 minute video that depicts a typical college dating relationship that soon begins to demonstrate unhealthy behaviors such as jealousy, manipulation and isolation.  After the video attendees will join trained facilitators for a smaller breakout session to discuss the movie and consider intervention strategies to support and assist victims of relationship violence.  Please note that the video and discussion questions includes content that may be triggering for some individuals.  Moravian student advocates will be available throughout the session to assist attendees.

Our incredible partners at Moravian College include the Title IX Office, Advocates for Survivors of Sexual Violence, American Association of University Women (AAUW), Hounds Against Sexual Assault (HASA) and the Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies Council.
