Your support empowers girls on the green…and in LIFE!
This summer, our Girls Golf parents, volunteers, and mentors, empowered dozens of Lehigh Valley girls through the game of golf. Thanks to them our 17th season was an amazing one!
From seven-year-olds who had never held a club to teens who are fully invested in the game, Coach Christina and our PGA pros helped every girl hone their skills through fun and informative clinics. The girls loved putting their skills to the test on the nine-hole course at Olde Homestead.
Our Six-Hole Classic was a highlight of the season. After two years of uncooperative weather, we were finally able to bring our Girl Golfers back to Saucon Valley to play six-holes beside women mentors and enjoy a relaxing lunch on the clubhouse patio.
We were especially thrilled to share some impressive news at the end-of-year party in August. Madison, a former Girl Golfer who now volunteers with the program, earned a spot on her co-ed high school varsity golf team — as a freshman! The Girls Golf focus on fostering confidence along with skills will be important this fall as Madison works to prove herself as one of just two girls on the team.
Because YWCA Bethlehem is committed to going above and beyond basic instruction, program tuition only covers 50% of the costs associated with the full season of activities. As we continue to build the best all-girls golf experience in the Valley, we ask for your support. Your contribution today will help us reach a goal of $2,500 to grow the program and provide financial aid for deserving girls in 2020.
Together we will empower girls to succeed on the green — and in life!
