On October 16 YWCA Bethlehem welcomed Tiwanna R. Hatcher as the newly appointed Interim Director of Administration. Her experiences include managing a domestic violence/ sexual assault safe house at YWCA Annapolis, an HIV/AIDS prevention and care services programs, and a maternal child health program for the City of Detroit.
“I began my career at a YWCA.” Hatcher explains. “I am grateful to have had such great women lead the way and invest in me at the YWCA. Returning to the YWCA is a full circle moment that I plan to honor. In the coming months, I look forward to fortifying relationships with the community to meet our mission of eliminating racism and empowering women.”
Hatcher has won over $2 million in competitive public health grants from Federal, State, and Local governments, as well as private foundations and community partners. As a seasoned facilitator, Tiwanna has led solution-oriented work sessions and training with multi-disciplinary professionals with much success. Her acute interpersonal skills and investment in the success of others ignites her passion for professional coaching and training. Away from work, Tiwanna is a baker and traveler who is very close to her family.
She holds a Masters of Public Administration from Wayne State University and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Women’s and Gender Studies from Michigan State University.
We hope you will join us in welcoming Tiwanna to the YWCA and the Lehigh Valley.
